Evolve San Diego offers an intensive outpatient program specifically designed for adolescents ages 12-17 who are struggling with mental health issues and/or substance use disorders. Their compassionate team of licensed clinicians creates individualized treatment plans that address the root causes of addiction while improving family and peer relationships. The holistic therapy approach combines traditional talk therapy with specialized modalities including motivational interviewing, applied behavioral analysis, 12-Step support groups, process groups, art and music therapy, family counseling, and yoga. The program maintains a small, intimate environment with a maximum of 10 teenagers at any time and a 3:1 teen-to-adult ratio. Treatment sessions run Monday through Thursday from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The facility is strategically located between San Diego and Oceanside, just minutes from the Pacific Ocean and within walking distance of the Sorrento Valley Coaster light rail station. Unlike typical clinical settings, Evolve's two-story building features a warm, coastal-inspired design with colorful, airy spaces that help teens feel comfortable during treatment. The center includes a spacious common room for relaxation, games, and mindfulness activities, plus a dedicated school room with computers and printers where clients can complete academic work and therapy assignments in a supportive environment.
