Zakat is dedicated to providing essential financial assistance to individuals and families in Glendale, CA who are facing temporary hardships. Operated by the Islamic Center, our Zakat Program offers support through food coupons, rental assistance, and utility aid, ensuring that no one in our community has to face uncertainty alone. We invite those in need to complete a Zakat Request Form, which must be submitted by 1 p.m. on the first three Fridays of each month for consideration during our weekly distribution. Our caring committee conducts private interviews to assess each application, with the goal of delivering support promptly after jum’a prayer on those Fridays.
