California's Work Opportunities and Responsibilities to Kids (CalWORKs) in Hemet, CA, is dedicated to supporting families in need by providing temporary financial assistance to eligible households with minor children facing income loss or reductions. Our mission is to empower families during challenging times by ensuring they have the resources to meet their basic needs while facilitating their journey towards self-sufficiency. We offer a range of essential services, including financial assistance, basic skills classes, vocational and occupational training for certificates or degrees, and short-term vocational training, including English-as-a-Second Language courses. As participants engage with our program, we aim to equip them with the tools necessary to re-enter or improve their status in the workforce, recognizing that our assistance typically lasts up to 48 months with certain exceptions available to extend support when needed.
