California's CalWORKs program in Indio provides vital temporary financial assistance to eligible families with minor children who are facing financial hardships. Our mission is to support families in meeting their basic needs while offering pathways to self-sufficiency through a range of services. Participants can access financial aid, basic skills classes, vocational training, and English-as-a-Second Language courses, all designed to empower individuals to re-enter the workforce. While the program generally limits assistance to 48 months for adults, exceptions may apply, ensuring that those who need it most receive the support necessary to thrive during challenging times.
