About Food & Commodities Program
The Food & Commodities Program in Irvine, CA, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by providing essential food assistance to those in need. Each month, we distribute United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) food supplies on the second Tuesday, serving approximately 1,800 senior citizens and addressing the nutritional needs of our community. Additionally, every Friday, we offer surplus commodities to families and seniors facing financial challenges, supporting around 100 households monthly, including 20 senior households. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food, fostering dignity and stability in our community.
