Zakat is dedicated to providing essential financial aid to individuals and families in Los Angeles, CA, who are experiencing temporary hardships. As a vital component of the Islamic Center, our Zakat Program offers crucial support including $15 food coupons, rental assistance, and utility assistance to help alleviate immediate needs. We hold our assistance distribution on the first three Fridays of each month, welcoming applicants to complete a Zakat Request Form before 1 p.m. on those days. Each application is thoughtfully reviewed by our committee post-jum’a prayer, ensuring a private interview process to maintain the dignity of our community members.
