At the Merced County Area Agency on Aging, we understand the importance of nutrition for individuals aged 60 and older who are homebound due to illness, incapacity, or disability. Our Home-Delivered Meals program is dedicated to ensuring that no one goes hungry by providing critical food assistance directly to their doors. Each week, our caring staff delivers five ready-to-heat meals, tailored to meet the needs of our participants. We believe in fostering well-being through food, which is why we also offer quarterly nutrition education to empower our seniors with knowledge about healthy eating. To access this vital service, an in-home assessment is required to determine eligibility; however, we embrace flexibility with some exceptions considering individual circumstances.
