MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Oakland, CA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to screen all Veterans receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and connect them with tailored weight management services that accommodate their individual preferences and needs. Participants can choose from a variety of options including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! for in-home support. For those who prefer a more independent approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans facing persistent weight-related challenges after engaging with our program.
