Located in Palm Springs, California, Blue Tiger Recovery provides specialized treatment for men and their partners struggling with sex addiction, trauma, and substance use disorders. Established in 2013, this evidence-based center offers multiple levels of care including Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), standard Outpatient Programs (OP), and a distinctive 3-week sex addiction boot camp. Blue Tiger Recovery approaches sexual addiction comprehensively, addressing underlying mental health concerns, trauma, shame, and chemical dependencies. Their treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing, all focused on healing through addiction and trauma recovery. While they don't provide on-site detoxification services, they coordinate with trusted partner facilities for clients requiring this initial step. The center integrates various recovery philosophies, including traditional 12-Step programs (AA, NA, SAA, SLAA, SCA, RCA, and CMA) and alternatives like SMART Recovery. Clients attend nightly meetings as part of their treatment regimen. Blue Tiger Recovery has also developed specialized programming for the LGBTQ+ community, tailoring treatment to address specific needs within this population. Their signature 3-week boot camp offers trauma-focused sex addiction treatment delivered by certified Sex Addiction Therapists. This program creates a community living experience that provides the structure and support essential for recovery while serving as an alternative to residential treatment. The center maintains in-network relationships with several insurance providers including Tricare, Medicare, Inland Empire Health Plan, and Anthem Bluecross Blueshield. The treatment experience is enhanced through weekly therapeutic outings, including equine therapy and excursions to natural attractions like Joshua Tree National Park and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Blue Tiger Recovery maintains professional credibility through Joint Commission accreditation, partnership with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals, and patron membership in The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health.
