At South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES) in Palmdale, CA, we are committed to tackling hunger in our community, specifically among very low and extremely low income working families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those facing homelessness. Our Traditional Food Program plays a vital role in providing emergency food assistance to families who do not qualify for food stamps or are in the process of waiting for their applications to be approved. Each eligible household can receive emergency food supplies up to four times a year, offering enough nutritious food to support three meals daily for an entire week. We not only deliver essential food resources but also connect individuals with education and referral services, collaborating with various agencies to ensure comprehensive support. Our goal is to sustain lives in the South Antelope Valley while fostering resilience and empowering families to overcome immediate challenges.
