The Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program, located in San Leandro, CA, is dedicated to fostering the well-being of pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as parents caring for children under the age of five. Our comprehensive services include personalized nutrition counseling, engaging group classes, and essential breastfeeding support, including access to a Helpline and peer counselors. We also provide families with vital resources to secure health insurance, locate doctors and dentists, and gain knowledge through dental health classes and exams. WIC offers families checks to purchase nutritious food from local grocery stores, along with special summer checks for fresh fruits and vegetables at Farmers Markets. We welcome foster parents, guardians, and single fathers with custody to join our program.
