Project Chicken Soup is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Sylmar, CA, committed to delivering free, nutritious, kosher meals to individuals throughout the greater Los Angeles area affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious health challenges. We believe that everyone deserves care and compassion, which is why our services are open to all, regardless of faith or background. Each month, we prepare and distribute freshly made kosher meals twice, providing our clients with grocery bags that contain ten meals per delivery. Additionally, our organization offers supplementary supply bags filled with nonperishable food items and essential toiletries sourced from generous community donations or purchased through the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Our commitment extends across neighborhoods such as Hollywood, West Hollywood, Silverlake, downtown Los Angeles, and beyond, ensuring that the vital resource of emergency food reaches those who need it most. If you reside outside our delivery zone, you are always welcome to visit our kitchen to collect meals directly.
