The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant program, located in Cortez, CO, is dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing financial hardship due to severe health issues, including chronic, terminal, or rare conditions such as cancer, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Disease. Our program provides essential utility assistance and grocery assistance to help alleviate the financial burdens faced by those in need. While we focus on either utility or grocery support, we also collaborate with Vital Options International (VOI) and other organizations to connect our applicants with additional resources tailored to their specific situations. Our mission is to offer practical assistance with compassion, ensuring that individuals facing health challenges can find the support necessary to navigate difficult times.
