The Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients, part of the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation, is dedicated to helping those in Parachute, CO, who are facing financial hardships due to the overwhelming costs of cancer treatment. Our program provides critical financial assistance for essential daily needs to both adult and pediatric patients actively receiving treatment or those just completing their care. Recognizing that many applicants struggle with inadequate medical insurance and live below the poverty line, we prioritize applications based on individual financial situations and medical circumstances. Each month, we accept grant applications, which are carefully reviewed by our Grants Committee, and we award grants of $750 for adults and $1,000 for pediatric patients, generally limited to one annual grant per individual and two grants over a lifetime. In urgent situations, we also offer emergency grants that can be processed within 48 hours, ensuring that no patient in dire need goes without support.
