About Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) in Pueblo, CO, is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to seniors 60 years and older, offering a monthly supply of nutritious food items at no cost. Each month, qualified seniors can receive a carefully curated food box containing 22-25 essential staple foods, including items such as cheese, milk, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, and protein sources like canned meat or peanut butter. In addition to food, our program includes nutrition education tailored for older adults, along with recipes featuring the foods provided, promoting healthy eating habits. Seniors can also access emergency food assistance through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) simultaneously. To maintain continuity in benefits, participants are required to re-certify every six months, ensuring their eligibility remains intact. We invite seniors in need to apply for our services at the Pueblo County Health and Human Services office, where we offer compassionate support to help nourish the community.
