Everyday Eats, part of the nationally recognized Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income seniors aged 60 and above in Rifle, CO, and surrounding areas. This vital initiative provides eligible seniors with monthly food boxes filled with nutritious, shelf-stable items, including protein, powdered milk, juice, cereal, canned or dried fruits and vegetables, and cheese, along with helpful nutrition education and recipes. We collaborate with local community organizations to distribute these grocery boxes across various counties, ensuring that no older adult faces hunger alone. Our service caters to multiple counties, and we also offer homebound delivery in select areas for those who may struggle to visit our distribution sites. To participate, seniors must meet specific income eligibility criteria. We welcome all eligible seniors in Colorado to join us in this mission to promote healthier eating and support our community’s older adults.
