The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant program, located in USAF Academy, CO, is dedicated to supporting individuals facing financial hardships due to chronic, terminal, or rare health conditions, such as cancer, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Disease. By offering vital utility assistance and grocery assistance, the program aims to alleviate some of the burdens during these challenging times. It is important to note that assistance can be applied to either utilities or groceries. Additionally, Vital Options International (VOI) collaboratively partners with other organizations to provide more comprehensive support.
