Meals on Wheels, part of the Community Renewal Team, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors in Bristol, CT, and the surrounding Middlesex, Tolland, and Hartford counties. Our program focuses on delivering nutritious meals directly to the homes of medically homebound seniors, ensuring they receive healthy lunches tailored to their dietary needs. In addition to meal delivery, we offer volunteer check-ins that foster connection and care. While we suggest a $3.00 donation for each meal to help cover our costs, we believe that no one should ever go hungry, so we welcome everyone regardless of their ability to pay. Referrals can come from healthcare providers, hospitals, and local social services, and once an application is approved, we begin meal delivery within two days, providing timely support when it matters most.
