Meals on Wheels, part of the Community Renewal Team in Clinton, CT, is dedicated to delivering nutritious and freshly prepared lunches to seniors who are homebound due to medical reasons across Middlesex, Tolland, and Hartford counties. Our mission is to ensure that no senior goes hungry, and we welcome referrals from healthcare providers, hospitals, visiting nurse associations, and local social services. Each meal delivery comes with friendly volunteer check-ins and we accommodate special dietary needs to promote health and well-being. While we suggest a $3.00 donation per meal to help sustain our program, we ensure that no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Once an application is approved following a brief assessment, we begin meal deliveries within two days, connecting our seniors with both nutritious food and caring support.
