Meals on Wheels, part of the Community Renewal Team in Cromwell, CT, is dedicated to nourishing the lives of medically homebound seniors in Middlesex, Tolland, and Hartford counties by providing healthy, home-delivered meals. Our program not only offers nutritious lunches but also includes caring volunteer check-ins and can accommodate special dietary needs. We suggest a $3.00 donation per meal to help cover costs, but we ensure that no individual is turned away due to inability to pay. Referrals are welcomed from healthcare providers, hospitals, visiting nurse associations, and town social service departments. To ensure we meet our clients’ needs, an interview or home visit is required before service begins, allowing us to start meal deliveries within two days after approval.
