The Holocaust Survivors Program at Jewish Family Services in Enfield, CT, is dedicated to preserving the dignity and independence of Holocaust survivors by providing essential support services tailored to their unique needs. Our mission is to empower survivors to remain comfortably in their homes for as long as possible, rather than entering institutional care. We offer a range of vital services, including individualized counseling, emergency financial assistance for unforeseen expenses, ongoing support for home care costs, and help navigating applications for reparations and compensation programs. Additionally, we provide access to the JFS Anja Rosenberg kosher food pantry, ensuring that all nutritional needs are met with care. While some services are need-based and provided at no charge to qualifying survivors, others are available at no cost to all survivors, with certain clinical services potentially billable to Medicare and other insurance.
