The Holocaust Survivors Program at Jewish Family Services in Hartford, CT, is dedicated to supporting the well-being and independence of Holocaust survivors. Our mission is to empower survivors to remain in their homes, preventing the need for institutional care while honoring their unique experiences. We offer a range of essential services, including counseling, emergency financial assistance, ongoing support for home care costs, and help with applications for reparations and compensation. Additionally, survivors have access to the JFS Anja Rosenberg kosher food pantry, ensuring their nutritional needs are met. Many of our services are need-based and free for those who qualify, while others are available at no charge to all survivors.
