Meals on Wheels, part of the Community Renewal Team in Manchester, CT, is dedicated to providing nutritious home-delivered meals to seniors who are medically homebound in Middlesex, Tolland, and Hartford counties. Our mission focuses on promoting health and well-being through accessible food assistance, with special accommodation for dietary needs. We believe that everyone deserves a meal, which is why we suggest a donation of $3.00 to help cover costs, but no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay. We work closely with healthcare providers and local social service departments to ensure that those in need can access our emergency food services. Upon receiving a referral, we conduct an interview or home visit to assess eligibility, and meals will start being delivered within two days of approval.
