Connecticut WIC in Meriden is dedicated to empowering low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old, by promoting healthy food habits and nutrition. Our program offers vital services including personalized nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals to essential health and social services, and an Electronic Benefits Card that enables participants to purchase nutritious foods to foster well-being. While currently operating through phone appointments due to COVID-19, we invite new applicants interested in food assistance to reach out to find the local WIC office where support is readily available. Together, we aim to build a healthier future for families in our community.
