Young Adult Services (YAS) in Niantic, CT, is dedicated to providing transformative support for young adults aged 18-25 who have experienced trauma and face severe mental health challenges. Our mission is to foster the development of crucial life skills within a nurturing residential environment for a duration of 18 to 24 months, ensuring tailored guidance based on insights from the Southeastern Mental Health Authority and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Through a collaborative approach with Reliance Health and SMHA, our program offers comprehensive support, including 24/7 care, individualized goal-setting, and life skills training tailored to each member's unique needs. Participants can expect assistance with daily living tasks—such as budgeting, cooking, and transportation—as well as opportunities for recreational activities, peer mentoring, and community volunteering. Our goal is to empower young adults in their journey toward independence, self-care, and overall wellness.
