The Holocaust Survivors Program at Jewish Family Services in Simsbury, CT, is dedicated to supporting Holocaust survivors by empowering them to remain in their homes and live independently for as long as possible. Our comprehensive services include counseling, emergency financial assistance for unexpected expenses, and ongoing help with home care costs. We also offer assistance in navigating applications for reparations and compensation programs, along with access to the JFS Anja Rosenberg kosher food pantry. While some services are need-based and available at no charge for qualifying survivors, others are freely accessible to all survivors. Certain clinical services may be billable to Medicare and other insurance, ensuring that care remains as accessible as possible.
