Selma Schimmel Vital Grant serves the Willimantic, CT community by providing essential financial support to individuals facing significant hardships due to chronic, terminal, or rare conditions, including cancer, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Disease. Our program focuses on alleviating immediate needs through utility assistance and grocery assistance, ensuring that those in need can keep their lights on and have access to nourishing food. While our grant covers either utility bills or grocery expenses, we also collaborate with local organizations to connect our recipients with additional resources and support. We are committed to helping individuals navigate these challenging times with dignity and care.
