About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program at Naval Anacost Annex, DC, is dedicated to supporting the health and nutritional needs of local families. Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, WIC provides critical food assistance and nutrition education tailored to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, as well as parents or guardians of children under five who face nutritional risks. Participants receive a variety of nutritious foods, including dairy, fruits, vegetables, and infant formula, while also gaining access to essential resources such as breastfeeding support and referrals to health services like immunizations and dental care. Our mission is to promote healthy pregnancy outcomes and establish lifelong healthy eating habits in accordance with U.S.D.A. guidelines. To enroll, families are encouraged to bring proof of income, identification, residency, and, if applicable, a pregnancy letter from a healthcare provider. Join us at WIC to empower your family’s health today.
