The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Parcel Return Service, DC, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our comprehensive services include personalized nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and the provision of nutritious foods rich in calcium, protein, iron, and essential vitamins. We also conduct immunization assessments and facilitate referrals to vital health and social services. Additionally, for families with children over one year of age, our Farmers' Market Nutrition Program offers access to fresh fruits and vegetables from May through November, helping families nourish themselves with wholesome, local produce. WIC is committed to empowering families with the resources they need for a healthy start.
