At the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Parcel Return Service, DC, we are dedicated to fostering healthy food habits for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our comprehensive food assistance program offers essential nutrition counseling and education, breastfeeding support, and access to nutritious foods rich in calcium, protein, iron, and essential vitamins. We also provide immunization assessments, referrals to health and social service providers, and a range of medical, birthing, dental, and emotional wellness services. Importantly, there is no need to show proof of U.S. citizenship to participate in WIC, ensuring that vital resources are available to those who need them most.
