At the Drop-In Center Emergency Services located in Washington Navy Yard, DC, we passionately support homeless and low-income families and individuals, including women transitioning back into the community after incarceration. Our mission is to address immediate and unexpected needs by providing essential resources such as emergency food, clothing, feminine hygiene products, and personal care items. We pride ourselves on our welcoming environment, which encourages clients to access walk-in assistance and vital services like ID and birth certificate vouchers. Additionally, we offer a computer lab to help individuals seek employment and further their skills. Food bag distribution is available every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while clothing and toiletries for women are distributed on Thursdays and Fridays, and for men on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We are here to help, especially for those facing short-term challenges.
