Emergency Food Delivery is dedicated to ensuring that individuals in Washington Navy Yard, DC, have access to essential food assistance. Initially founded to provide grocery delivery for those who are unable to visit local pantries, this volunteer-run initiative continues to thrive with a grassroots approach. We make weekly deliveries across all quadrants of D.C., including during holidays, focusing primarily on serving elderly citizens, individuals with disabilities, and single mothers with young children. Our compassionate team welcomes referrals from social workers as well as direct requests from those in need, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the emergency food assistance they require to thrive.
