Located in the heart of Washington Navy Yard, DC, Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) is committed to empowering young people in crisis towards stability and independence. Our 8th St DC Drop-In Center serves as a welcoming refuge where youth can access essential resources such as food assistance, showers, toiletries, and school supplies. We prioritize harm reduction and offer comprehensive service plans that include emergency housing navigation, case management, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and counseling services. Additionally, we provide workforce support, health education, and help in navigating the DC Housing and CAHP System to ensure young people find the support they need. Recreational and cultural activities also foster a sense of community among our participants. For those in need of immediate assistance, we encourage visitations during our operating hours. We are here to help youth reclaim their path to self-sufficiency and well-being.
