Emergency Food Delivery is dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable residents in Washington, DC have access to essential food assistance right at their doors. Originating from a grassroots initiative, our organization operates entirely through the commitment of volunteers, delivering emergency food to those who may struggle to reach traditional food pantries due to mobility challenges. We serve all quadrants of the city with weekly deliveries, including on holidays, to support elderly individuals, handicapped persons, and single mothers with young children. Our services are accessible through referrals from social workers or direct inquiries from those in need.
