Located in Washington, DC, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is dedicated to supporting low-income and medically high-risk pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children under the age of five by offering essential food assistance and nutrition education. Our comprehensive program provides nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and access to healthy foods rich in protein, calcium, iron, and essential vitamins. We also facilitate immunization assessments and connect families with necessary health and social services. Additionally, from June to November, WIC enhances the nutrition of women and children over six months with fresh fruits and vegetables through our Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, ensuring families have the resources they need to thrive in our community.
