Located in Washington, DC, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is dedicated to providing essential food assistance and nutrition education to low-income pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children under five years old. Our mission is to promote the health and wellbeing of vulnerable families through personalized nutrition counseling and breastfeeding support, ensuring access to healthy foods rich in calcium, protein, iron, and essential vitamins. We also offer immunization assessments, referrals to healthcare and social services, and, during the summer months, fresh fruits and vegetables through our Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
