Located in Harbeson, DE, the Cape Henlopen Food Basket (CHFB) is dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families within the Cape Henlopen School District in Sussex County. Our mission is simple: we believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, which is why we offer vital support to anyone facing food insecurity without any barriers. Clients receive a 10-day supply of food, including canned and frozen items, along with a supermarket voucher to obtain fresh essentials like milk, eggs, margarine, and bread. While we do not assess the needs of our clients, we are committed to directing those who require ongoing support to the Delaware State Social Services for appropriate assistance. Please note that during snowstorms or weather-related closures, CHFB will follow the schedule of the Cape Henlopen School District. We invite you to reach out for help and join us in our effort to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
