Located in Nassau, DE, the Cape Henlopen Food Basket (CHFB) is dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families within the Cape Henlopen School District. Our mission is to ensure that no one goes hungry, which is why we offer a 10-day supply of non-perishable and frozen food to those in need, along with a supermarket voucher for fresh essentials like milk, eggs, margarine, and bread. We serve everyone with dignity and without judgment; if someone requires food assistance more than three times within a three-month period, we connect them with Delaware State Social Services for further evaluation. We are committed to supporting our community, and during weather-related closures of the Cape Henlopen School District, our services will also be paused to ensure safety for all.
