Located in Port Penn, DE, Food Bank is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals facing financial hardships, particularly focusing on single mothers, seniors, the homeless, shut-ins, medically disabled, widows, and the unemployed. Our mission is to alleviate hunger and offer support through our food pantry, ensuring that those in need receive nourishment and care. To access our emergency food services, individuals must obtain a referral from their Social Service Center and follow our simple scheduling guidelines based on the first initial of their last name. We operate on specific Wednesdays each month for food distribution, ensuring a structured yet warm atmosphere for all visitors. We encourage those in need to prepare for their visit and to reach out with any special requirements to ensure a smooth experience. Together, we can make a difference in our community, one meal at a time.
