Located in Rockland, DE, the Food Bank is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals and families in need, particularly focusing on single mothers, senior adults, the homeless, those who are shut-in, medically disabled, widowed, and unemployed persons. Our mission is driven by compassion and a commitment to support those facing hardships, ensuring they have access to emergency food and vital resources. To receive food, individuals need to obtain a referral from their Social Service Center and follow a monthly distribution schedule based on the first initial of their last name. We welcome visitors on designated Wednesdays for food pickups at noon, making sure to accommodate the need for warmth and comfort as our clients wait. At the Food Bank, every interaction is rooted in dignity and respect, as we strive to uplift our community through nourishing support.
