Located in Seaford, Delaware, the Cape Henlopen Food Basket (CHFB) is dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to anyone in need within the Cape Henlopen School District boundaries. We understand that food insecurity can affect anyone, which is why we ensure that every individual receives help without judgment or evaluation. Our services include supplying families with a 10-day emergency food package consisting of canned and frozen items, alongside a supermarket voucher for essential fresh items like milk, eggs, margarine, and bread. If a client requires food assistance more than three times within three months, we offer a referral to Delaware State Social Services for additional support. Please note that CHFB is closed during severe weather events when the Cape Henlopen School District is not in session, but our commitment to easing hunger in Sussex County remains steadfast.
