Health & Wellness is a dedicated non-profit organization located in Lakeland, FL, focused on empowering seniors and their families through comprehensive health and wellness services. Serving as the local Aging and Disability Resource Center for Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties, we offer a variety of free, evidence-based workshops designed to enhance the well-being of older adults. Our programs include Tai Chi, A Matter of Balance, Living Healthy, Diabetes Self-Management, Healthy Eating Every Day, and EnhanceWellness, each tailored to promote active lifestyles and improve health management. We recognize the unique challenges faced by seniors; therefore, our classes are highly participative, fostering an environment of mutual support and practical strategies to manage health issues, overcome fears of falling, and adapt to chronic conditions. Additionally, our PEARLS program provides personalized coaching to help individuals manage depression and improve their quality of life.
