About Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program in Aiea, HI, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as children from birth to five years. Our mission is to promote healthy food habits through essential services that include comprehensive nutrition assessments, education on breastfeeding, and support from trained peer counselors. WIC also provides vital referrals for substance abuse cessation and various health and social services. We offer supplemental foods tailored to the needs of our participants, ensuring families receive the nourishment they deserve. To benefit from WIC, participants must meet income criteria and demonstrate medical or nutritional risk, as we strive to create healthier futures for our community’s families.
