The Senior Food Box Program in Anahola, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing low-income kūpuna with a monthly supply of nutritious USDA food. Our mission is to alleviate senior hunger and enhance the well-being of our elders, allowing them to maintain their health and dignity while minimizing the risk of hospitalizations and the need for nursing home placements. Each carefully curated Senior Food Box is designed to supplement nutrition, ensuring that our kūpuna receive essential vitamins and minerals. Enrollment in the program is simple: complete an application available online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, there may be a wait list, and while on this list, we do our best to provide extra boxes to clients at the end of each distribution.
