Senior Food Box Program

Hawaii Foodbank Camp H M Smith, HI

About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Camp H M Smith, HI. Each month, participants receive a carefully curated box filled with high-quality USDA foods designed to meet their nutritional needs and combat the serious health repercussions of senior hunger. By helping to ensure that our seniors have access to necessary nutrients, we aim to reduce the risk of costly hospitalizations and enhance their overall well-being. To enroll in this vital program, potential participants can download an application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Given the high demand for food assistance, all distribution sites currently have wait lists. Applications are processed in the order they are received, and while on the wait list, participants may not receive a box every month. At the conclusion of each distribution, any extra boxes may be offered to those on the wait list, allowing us to support as many kūpuna as possible.
