The Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Fort Shafter, HI, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income kūpuna by providing essential access to fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs. Through our program, eligible seniors receive $50 worth of coupons, allowing them to enjoy nutritious produce at no cost from participating farmers, farmers' markets, and approved roadside stands. Operating seasonally from April through October, we encourage timely applications, as spaces typically fill up by May or June. For those who miss the deadline, a waitlist will be established to ensure that support is available as resources allow.
