Fellows engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, managing school or community gardens, and implementing educational sessions focused on health and ecological literacy. They also support farmers markets and develop vital distribution channels to enhance access to healthy food options within their communities. The program features a six-month experiential residency followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their knowledge in partnership with local non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, creating a supportive network dedicated to transforming food systems.
