About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program in Haleiwa, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna. Each month, eligible participants receive a thoughtfully curated box of nutritious USDA food, aimed at alleviating senior hunger and promoting better health among our elders. By improving access to vital nutrients, we strive to reduce the risks associated with hunger, potentially decreasing hospitalizations and the need for nursing home placements. Interested individuals can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to a high demand for our services, all CSFP distribution sites maintain wait lists, with enrollment processed in the order applications are received. While waiting, clients may have the opportunity to receive additional boxes based on availability at distribution events.
