About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hana, HI, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become effective advocates and educators in the pursuit of a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Our program fosters a hands-on learning environment where selected Fellows engage in a six-month, experiential residency at our beautiful farm. Throughout this immersive experience, participants gain invaluable skills in organic food systems, crop diversification, and community engagement. They also have the opportunity to collaborate with local partners on various initiatives such as maintaining school gardens, conducting educational sessions on health and nutrition, and enhancing access to healthy foods through farmers markets and community food coalitions. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that dedicated individuals can join us in this transformative journey. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the program running from May to October, enabling our Fellows to make a tangible impact in their communities.
