The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Hanalei, HI. Each month, participants receive a box filled with high-quality USDA food, carefully curated to help combat senior hunger and improve health outcomes. By supplementing their nutrition, we aim to empower kūpuna to maintain their independence and reduce the risk of costly hospital stays and nursing home placements. To join this vital program, individuals can download and submit an application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Given the increased demand, there may be a wait list for boxes, but we strive to accommodate all eligible applicants as quickly as possible. We believe that no senior should face hunger alone, and we are here to support our community one food box at a time.
